Founded as a national charity in 1980, the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association will be celebrating 45 years of service to member programs in every province across Canada with a national Conference in May, 2025.

The Canadian Paralympic Committee and Equestrian Canada have announced the team of three Para dressage riders and their horses who have been nominated to represent Canada in Para equestrian at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, to take place August 28 to September 8.

The risk factors surrounding many falls may be preventable, researchers find. Since horse riding is considered anecdotally to be a “dangerous sport” globally, Dr. David Marlin and Dr. Jane Williams have undertaken a first-of-its-kind study in the UK to investigate the common factors surrounding rider falls, and, crucially, how the risk of falling and injury can be reduced.
