The Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association provides equine-based wellness programs for persons with special needs. Clients are referred by medical professionals (therapists, doctors) and community navigators (teachers, counsellors, social workers).
Services include therapeutic riding, therapeutic horsemanship, para-equestrian sport, adapted equestrian vaulting, and stable management vocational development interventions as well as horse camps for children of all abilities.
CTRA relies on the support of our community to provide this life-enriching program. Donations, sponsorships, grants, fundraising, and volunteerism keep our program afloat.
One of the ways that CTRA raises funds is through our Jane James Used Tack Shop. This award-winning store is a great place to shop for the things you need AND donate your unwanted items for a great cause.
CTRA is always looking for volunteers. No experience is required and all the training is provided.
