Charming Clydesdale Horse Roams Halls at Nursing Home
The Village of East Harbor Senior Living Community in Michigan recently had a very special guest. The Clydesdale Renee, otherwise known as “Neigh-Neigh,” brought some much needed joy to every senior citizen in the nursing home. While it might not seem possible to bring a horse of that size indoors, all it took was little planning and patience. Many of the seniors aren’t able to go outside due to mobility issues so bringing her inside was the only option. The visit that was scheduled to last an hour ended up lasting more than two hours after contractor Maggie Provenzano saw how beneficial the horse’s presence was to the residents. It was a very unique and therapeutic experience for everyone involved.
