You know what it’s like when your back is sore and you’ve got to clean the paddock with a wheelbarrow and shovel. It takes forever and now your back is really sore.
Rivers Edge Equestrian based in Bonnyville, Alberta, has a product that can fix that. They are the exclusive Canadian distributor for the Super Scooper, a tow-behind pasture cleaner.
The design of the Super Scooper engaged a lot of engineering to produce a yard trailer that could be pulled by a quad or a lawnmower as well as by a tractor. It was designed for the horse owner with five or ten acres to clean. It works best on flat surfaces, hills, river banks, and on short grass below a foot in height. It works by being dragged at ground level to pick up droppings, then the wheels swing over for it to be towed to where the manure will be stored. It converts into the trailer mode in 20 seconds. Once horse owners start using it regularly their pastures will benefit from the elimination of parasites and weeds. And, of course, horses will be healthier. As a trailer, it can also be used to move a couple of hay bales.
